Cooperative for pwd, Trivandrum

Was Chief Guest on the occasion of 33rd Anniversary and release of Brochure of the VRC Cooperative Society that I started in 1983, when I was in Trivandrum. It takes up job orders in the modern technology producing components for Space Idustry and employs more than 200 pwd. It also provides training to pwd and has helped over 2000 in getting employment in different ITE based industries

Meetings attended

1. Attended a meeting of Rehab Experts at Rehabilitation Council of India to work on “Continuing Rehab Education (CRE)” programs in March 2013

2. Attended meeting of Experts & Stake Holders in the Chennai Round Table Conference organized by Tamilnadu Federation of Parents of Children with Intellectual & Multiple Disabilities on 6th August 2013

3. Chaired the Meeting organized by National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilitiesm Chennai  in connection with Skill Development Programs for Persons with Intellectual & Multiple Disabilities on 22nd August 2013

4. Visited and counseled Parents & Organizers of RITHAM Institute for Persons with Mental Retardation in the field of Vocational Training & Vocational Rehabilitation in Rajapalayam in Tamilnadu (Near Madurai) on 5th & 6th September 2013. Developed Skill Training Programs in two urban based and two rural based occupations to train Persons with Intellectual & Multiple Disabilities (PIMD). Submitted proposals to the Institute

Award As Outstanding Rehabilitation Consultant

Tamilnadu Dr. MGR University (a Statutory University under Tamilnadu – India ) honored Narasimham Rayadurgam for his exemplary service as Rehabilitation Consultant on the occasion of the International Day of People With Disabilities observed by the University on 6th December 2012. He receives the Award from Padmasri Dr. Mayilvahanan Natarajan, Vice Chancellor and famous Orthopedic Surgeon

 

This is the latest laurel achieved by Narasimham after National Award from President of India (1983) and inclusion in “Contemporary Who is Who” for outstanding contribution to the disabled, brought out by American Biographical Institute, USA – 2003 and Lifetime Achievement Award from International Biographical Institute, U.K.- 2004.
